What changed for Aeldari in 11th edition
11th edition was kind to the Aeldari: across the units that were re-priced, roughly twice as many came down as went up, and nothing new was added or taken away. If you played the Asuryani in 10th, your collection plays exactly the same — the maths just got a little friendlier on more sheets than not. On balance the craftworlds came out of the transition a touch cheaper.
Summary
- 41 units repriced, 0 new, 27 unchanged
- Biggest drop: Wraithknight (-50)
- Biggest rise: Warlock Skyrunners (+10)
- Detachment Points: 2 / 3 / 4 at Incursion / Strike Force / Onslaught
Detachments
The one genuinely new mechanic to learn is Detachment Points. Detachments are no longer free — each now carries a points cost that comes out of your army total and scales with game size: 2 at Incursion, 3 at Strike Force, 4 at Onslaught. That's a real budgeting decision layered on top of your unit choices, and it's the main thing to relearn coming from 10th. The Aeldari detachment sheet itself carries straight over from 10th edition, so beyond the new DP overhead there's nothing to relearn on the army-building side.
New in 11th: Fateful Performance, Twilight Flickers, Path of the Outcast. None removed.

Points changes
The pattern is a gentle net cut: of the sheets that moved, twenty-one came down against eleven that rose, while the rest of the roster held steady. The savings land on the heavies and specialists — the Night Spinner dropped 20 (190 to 170), the Wraithknight came down 20 (435 to 415), the Avatar of Khaine 15, and Jain Zar shed 15. The increases are smaller and concentrated on fast aspect and jetbike units. Several units are priced per squad size, so check the tier you actually field before you tally.

Frequently asked questions
Did the Aeldari get better in 11th edition?
On points, yes — a clear majority of the re-priced sheets came down, so most craftworld lists can field a little more for the same total than at the end of 10th. The cuts sit on the big centrepieces and specialists that anchor a list, while the handful of increases are minor. Whether that becomes more wins depends on the wider meta, but the Aeldari came out of the transition in a comfortable spot.
What got cheaper for the Aeldari in 11th edition?
The standouts are the heavy hitters. The Wraithknight leads the savings on raw points, the Night Spinner came down 20, and the Avatar of Khaine and Jain Zar each shed 15. With more than twice as many units dropping as rising, most of the craftworld roster held its price or improved — good news whether you build around Wraith constructs or an aspect-warrior spearhead.
How do Detachment Points work for the Aeldari in 11th edition?
Detachment Points are the new 11th-edition overhead: your chosen detachment costs points out of your army total, scaling with game size — 2 at Incursion, 3 at Strike Force, 4 at Onslaught. It's a flat cost you budget for before you start picking units, and it comes off the top of your list total.
Is now a good time to start an Aeldari army?
It's a good moment. Several centrepiece models are cheaper, the range is stable, and nothing about the 11th-edition points makes the craftworlds harder to build toward. If the Aeldari have caught your eye, see the Starting an Aeldari Army guide for a sensible buying order.
