Reconnaissance vs Take and Hold

An army with the Reconnaissance Force Disposition facing one with Take and Hold is dealt Reconnaissance Sweep as its primary mission.

The opposing army is not playing the same mission: it is dealt Purge and Secure. Reading only your own card is how a game gets lost from in front.

Reconnaissance against Take-and-Hold. Spread out: three or more friendly units wholly within three different table quarters (none within 6 inches of the battlefield centre) pays at end of turn, with a higher tier for four units across four quarters - only the better tier scores. Each enemy unit destroyed pays a small amount. From the second battle round, non-home control pays at the end of your Command phase.

Primary scoring is capped at 15 victory points in a battle round and 45 across the game.
